With the CyBox AP 3-W - the third generation wireless access point - even more mobile WLAN-capable devices can communicate with the Internet on passenger trains, buses or underground railway systems as well as access local data. This is made possible by the multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO) according to the WLAN standard 11ac Wave 2. This increases the previous maximum throughput of 1.3 GBit/s to 1.7 GBit/s with three streams.
The increased throughput now also requires a faster backbone, which can be equipped with 2.5 GBit/s or an optical 10 GBit data throughput.
While passengers travel, a configurable firewall protects the individual users' personal data against unauthorized access and supports secure and interruption-free data exchange with the Internet.
The CyBox AP 3-W has been specially developed for use in mobile applications in harsh environmental conditions.
